A beautiful intense purple colour with a fairly powerful nose that hints at cassis, flint, mocha, truffle and vanilla. Powerful on the palate with a warm, long finish. Drink now or keep 3 to 4 years.
Chateau Mauves, one of the oldest in the region, emerged at the time of the Restoration in 1817. Since 1965 the vineyard has been thriving under it's new owner Bernard Bouche who is from a family with a long winemaking tradition. The soil of the Chateau is ideal and allows the roots to penetrate more than 15m, looking for trace elements that make the difference between a wine and a good wine. Terroir makes the difference!
