A deliciously crisp, dry white with green fig, mineral and lime tones and a slight flintiness on the nose. In the mouth it's fresh with fruity citrus flavours combining in a rich palate. A well-defined Sauvignon Blanc with an endless finish.
Erlank Erasmus, a qualified winemaker and entrepreneur, established Cape Wine Company in 2010 with the objective of sharing the exceptional wines produced in the Cape Winelands of South Africa to wine enthusiasts worldwide.
He was raised in Montagu, South Africa, and developed an affection for the Cape’s expansive, verdant vineyards at an early age. In 1997, he commenced his studies in viticulture at the Elsenburg Agricultural Training Institute in the Stellenbosch region.
He began his professional journey at Fairview Wines in 2000, where he served as the winemaker for a decade for several of the farm’s brands. Winemaking has also sent Erlank to various locations worldwide, such as the Napa Valley in the United States and St. Emilion in France.
Erlank, his wife Anna and two sons currently reside in “De Kleine Konstantie” in Paarl, a national monument constructed in 1841. This beautiful house is currently under the proud ownership of the Erasmus Family.
Erlank is efficiently supported in the office by Marlene Trollip, who is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the organisation, including procurement and logistics.
