Deep ruby-red in colour, this Chianti entices with expressive aromas of ripe red fruits, subtle jammy notes, and a refreshing hint of menthol. The palate reveals excellent structure, lifted by vibrant acidity and leading to a finely balanced, savoury finish. A perfect companion to game, poultry, and grilled meats.
At the end of XIX century, Francesco Rocca started his historical business by selling loose wine. In 1936 his son Angelo enhanced the wine production and built a cellar in Nardò, Apulia. In the 1960's the first bottling line was bought and thus started the distribution of products under the Rocca brand. Today, Ernesto Rocca (the founder's grandson) shares responsibility with his sons Paolo, Marco, Luca and Matteo who help run the family business, a business which also includes a construction company and a leading trot horse stud farm.
