The brilliant body is golden yellow in colour. The bubbles are fine, while the bubbles are discreet yet lingering. The nose, very open and expressive, delivers aromas of fruit and brioche. It also gives off the fragrance of peach, white flowers (hawthorn, acacia) and vanilla pod. The entry onto the palate is lively, fresh and in total harmony. This is a delicate wine with flavours of fresh fruit and honey. Taittinger Brut, which acquires its maturity during three and four years ageing in the cellar, offers excellent aromatic potential.
Brut Prestige is positioned as a more refined and expressive step up from Brut Reserve, offering greater elegance and a slightly more polished character. In practice, Brut Prestige feels more “special,” making it better suited to gifts or ceremonial occasions, whereas Brut Reserve excels as a reliable, crowd-pleasing choice for everyday celebrations; although their styles overlap, Prestige stands out for its added distinction and sophistication.
